Three Cuban dissidents freed from jail

SANTA CLARA, Cuba, July 15 (www.cubanet.com) -

Three members of the outlawed Pedro Luis Boitel Democratic Party, arrested on charges of promoting enemy propaganda and insult, were freed after spending more than a month in jail.

Delegate Eddy Espinosa Franco of Villa Clara said no formal charges were laid against the trio - Luis Enrique Junquera, Yamil Sánchez and Bernardo Luis Ascanio - and that they were let off with a warning as a gesture of good will on the part of the government.

They had been held in a state security facility for 34 days.
